Chamomile unbound I and II

30 × 30 cm Oil and gold leaf on canvas

“Chamomile Unbound” is a quiet meditation on gentleness and impermanence. The blooms are presented without the formal constraint of a vase — loosely placed, almost stumbled-upon — viewers are invited to consider the quiet grace in unarranged simplicity. Chamomile, known for its soothing properties, becomes here a symbol not just of calm, but of vulnerability. The absence of structure allows viewers to experience the flower’s form in its raw, uncurated beauty. There’s no interference, just presence. The composition resists perfection and embraces softness.

This series of work is my dialogue with nature. The compositions reflect my personal exploration of balance—between fragility and strength, stillness and life.

“Stillness” in this context is not passive. It is an active choice to be, to endure, to offer beauty with no promise of recognition. Chamomile becomes a symbol—not of fragility, but of quiet defiance.
